Stepping into Tarpon Lodge in Bokeelia is like going back in time. Built in 1926, it keeps alive an era known as the unpretentious old Florida lifestyle. Once inside you’ll have a choice of menus—the bar menu, lunch menu and dinner menu. Dinner specialties are shrimp and crab fettuccine, medallions of beef tenderloin, Pine Island Sound crab cakes and Tarpon Lodge Veal Picatta. The sunsets alone are worth the trip.
