As actress Melissa Gilbert learned last week, dancing is a full-contact sport. She is slated to return to Dancing With the Stars tonight (8 ET/PT, ABC) after being knocked for a loop by a minor concussion. But she’s far from the only celeb casualty over the years. What happened? The Little House on the Prairie star suffered a concussion and whiplash when partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy spun her around the floor during their April 9 paso doble.
How bad was it? Gilbert was shipped off via ambulance to a hospital following the show, and she missed Tuesday’s results show in order to rest up. Host Tom Bergeron says they expect her back for Monday’s show.
