A lot has changed at Omni during the last year… and NOT for the best: -Their monthly membership price is a rip off. If you want to renew your old contract or sign up as a new member you will be paying an additional $50/mo. I used to think $100/mo was a bit pricey but their present fee of $150/mo is just beyond absurd. Oh yeah, you get the same classes and amenities you were getting before but now you pay more… so I downgraded my contract to their basic $40/mo contract that doesn’t require a year contract (I can cancel anytime) from my $100/mo YEARLY contract. -They have done away with their “women only” workout area. It became a “cross fit” space that seems to be empty on a regular basis. So, if you are a female new to the fitness life or simply prefer privacy when sweating away in your work out… you can forget about that. The general gym area is just not designed to be a friendly environment to women. -They no longer offer free passes if you were to bring a guest. As a matter of fact, I brought my boyfriend a few weeks ago and instead of offering him the “14 day guest pass” they advertise on their website, they charged him to work-out and didn’t even offer to give him a tour. -The staff has changed… they had some incredible trainers and class instructors that are no longer there… such as the instructor that created their “Fight Club” program. Currently, the pm class is taught by “fill in” instructors that diminish the experience from what used to be a fantastic class. -Last but not least… their sales staff is highly unprofessional and a disappointing first impression of what used to be an incredible facility. I had the misfortune of having to interact with one of them… by the end of our encounter, besides disrespectful and insulting, he had also lost Omni the hundreds of dollars my yearly contract represented. I walked out of the gym shaking my head and wondering who in his/her right mind would hire such an individual to do sales?! In conclusion, Omni is a shadow of what it used to be and NOT worth the steep membership fees.

Southwest Floirda Diamond District WARNING!!! I would love to share my nightmare with you, however, based on the legal advice of my attorney I can only tell you to be EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS. Do not buy anything here unless you have done your research and are very comfortable. If you are not sure, obtain a copy of the diamond certificate, this is very important (do not rely on what they tell you about the diamond), then go home, do your research and make an informed/educated decision. Buyer Beware, this is only the beginning, my story gets much worse. If you too have had a bad experience of any kind, I would love to know, joining forces is stronger than fighting the battle alone, don't worry about cost, I have that covered. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Since all court filings are public I will be sure to post the filed complaint in its entirety so you can the details of my nightmare.

Nice, NP! Don't mention Fort Myers Beach's parade down Estero Boulevard (starts at 10pm) or the fact that our Fourth of July fireworks show is funded by months of community events, making it the very epitome of a small town celebration (not to mention the fact that it's the longest and best in Lee County and everyone knows it). How come everyone else gets a whole paragraph about their event and we get one sentence? You people are crawling all over yourselves to take pictures when a drunk throws up at the Lani Kai during Spring Break but can't be bothered to cover anything positive that happens down here? Thankfully we have local papers that do that for us!!!
